Spring has arrived at 201 Arena

Spring has arrived in L.A., which means longer days, blooming jacaranda trees, the smell of night jasmine, and very little chance of rain (in LA) for the next six months. It also means that Alexis will have more time in the evening to ride his fabulous racing bike.

Here at 201, we kicked off spring with what seems like a million boxes of Girl Scout cookies, (thank you Catalina), several new projects entering the pipeline, fancy new office furniture (Herman Miller, naturally) and a new staff member. We're happy to have Laura Lehman, a soon-to-be graduate of the UCLA Extension Arch_ID program, join RPA as our interior designer.

In early March our design principal, Chris Kempel, returned from a week in Egypt where he served as a volunteer. He and his group, which included his dad, worked long hours in the desert heat building a model house that will be duplicated for families in need. This is Chris's third trip abroad for the sole purpose of helping others, last year he  was in Venezuela and the year prior, Haiti.

We anticipate lots of good news in the coming month...can't share the details but suffice to say it has to do with tests, schools, awards, and openings.
